My name is Petra Holic.

I am a certified coach, facilitator and lecturer. Half of my life I’ve been living and working in Canada and the other half in Slovakia. My heart will forever belong to both amazing countries. Slovakia gave me roots, Canada gave me wings.

My first career was dedicated to senior roles in human resources and organizational development for companies such as Amazon, planningAlliance, Northwater Capital Management, Metrix Group and StockHouse in Toronto, New York and Bratislava. I’ve always been lucky to have amazing colleagues, mentors and bosses – architects, urban planners, designers, hedge fund managers, anthropologists, consultants, financial analysts, lawyers – an incredible variety of professions, personalities and nationalities.

My second career is coaching and I love my work. I devote about 50% of my time to 1:1 coaching of leaders in Europe and Canada and the remaining time to team development. As a coach, mentor and lecturer, hundreds of leaders have passed through my hands – beginners and CEOs, successful and struggling, and those still looking to find their voice and place.
It’s amazing when I see that spark in my client’s eyes, that “aha” moment when they come up with something important that will shift the way they look at their life, work and future. To be with them in these moments, step by step, co-creating a better future, helping them achieve goals and dreams, facing ceilings, dilemmas, challenging relationships, big decisions and career crossroads – is a great privilege that I welcome with humility, passion and respect.

EduCoach

Together with my friend and colleague Mirka Tomašovičová, we founded EduCoach.sk where we pro-bono coach high school students and their teachers. The idea came from Mirka, the queen of teen coaching in Slovakia.
EduCoach was launched by the two of us, but today our community consists of 30+ coaches. Together, we promote the development of a coaching culture at our secondary schools in Slovakia.
